rolex 1225 movement | Rolex oyster date 6694 rolex 1225 movement A word of warning, if you want to do that through RSC only buy one with a 1225 movement on NOT a 1215. Good advice! Slower beat 1215 (18000bph) vs 1225 (21600bph) escapement parts are getting hard to find and high $$. I found out the hard way. BUT a 1210 Service is classed as Vintage, so with new Dial & Hands it would be close to £3000.

The Rolex 1225 watch movement features an escapement wheel in Kif-Duofix combined .From what I gather it seems the 1225 was the improved movement produced for most of the life of the 6694 all the way until the 80s. The 1210/1215 has 18,000vph frequency which gave five ticks per second, the 21,600vph of the Cal. 1220/1225 gives six. So once again, if there is very little difference in price or condition, I personally would choose a watch with a 1220/1225 movement. Those ran at 36,000 bpm. But no mention of any running at 21,600, or 18,000 bpm. Rolex over the years have used 18000,19800,28800 BPH in there automatic oyster movements, in the Cellini mens range they use 21600 BPH handwind movement, but a 18000 BPH movement can be just as accurate as any other movement.Rolex Forums - Rolex Watch Forum > Rolex & Tudor Watch Topics > Rolex General Discussion: 6427 1225 Movement Rolex crown stem Issues
