Intense is definitely stronger and darker than the original L'Homme, amazing longevity but its projection is "elegant" if you will. It is by far the best performing, but due to its density and performance it's the least versatile.
I'd say L'homme is more versatile(day/night/office/multi season) & probably favored by more ladies. Intense is more interesting, mature, & strikes me as more of a night scent. (I haven't worn intense yet, just initial impressions).I have both. The original Prada L’Homme is considered the “all year” option, and the “Intense” version adds leather, patchouli, and amber to make it one of the best designer fall/winter/evening scents ever in my opinion. The intense version is darker, but still keeps to the DNA Prada L'Homme is a classic and sophisticated scent with a powdery iris note and a warm cedar base.
